Barbara is the Legislative Assistant to Louisiana State Representative Stephanie Berault, District 76. As the vital voice connecting Rep. Berault with her constituents, Barbara ensures that community concerns are heard, understood, and acted upon. After a 44-year career in nursing, Barbara transitioned from caring for patients to championing the needs of constituents — carrying the same compassion, determination, and problem-solving skills into public service. Married to Tom since 1985, Barbara is the proud mother of five and grandmother of six. What was meant to be a brief stay in Slidell nearly three decades ago turned into a lasting love affair with the city of Slidell and its people. Barbara’s lifelong passion for volunteering reflects her deep belief that strong communities are built through connection and service. She is especially honored to serve on the Friends of Camellia City board, working to bring the STPCONNECT website to life — a powerful resource designed to unite St. Tammany Parish by connecting residents and nonprofits with vital services in one easy-to-access hub. When she’s not working or volunteering, Barbara treasures time with family and friends and enjoys hiking and cycling.
